Dinh Tran and Khanh Dang of BGP Group

Khanh Dang was born in the heart of Sai Gon, a city alive with the hum of motorbikes and the scent of simmering pho. Her childhood was steeped in the flavors of Vietnam—coriander, lime, fish sauce—all coming together in simple, unforgettable meals. Dinh Tran was born on the other side of the world, the son of Vietnamese immigrants in America. His parents carried their homeland in their hearts and in their kitchen, where he learned that food is never just food; it is history, love, and pride served on a plate.

When they met, Khanh and Dinh found in each other a shared love for the tastes and traditions of their roots. Together, they traveled through the streets of Thailand, the rivers of Cambodia, the islands of Indonesia, and the markets of Laos. Each stop gave them something new—a spice, a recipe, a way of cooking that felt like poetry in motion. They didn’t just eat; they learned, soaking in the stories and techniques of the street vendors and chefs who lived by their woks and grills.

Every time they return to Atlanta, they carry more than memories. They bring back inspiration and longing. This has culminated into an unshakable desire to share the essence of Southeast Asia with their city. Vietvana was their first love letter, an ode to Vietnam’s soul. The next three; Boom Boom Bao, Uwu, and Lime Tiger, continue their homage to southeast asian food.

Together, these restaurants form a story—a story of two lives, two cultures, and one unyielding passion to bring it all to life in Atlanta’s food scene.

Vietvana, the first to emerge, set the standard—bold, unyielding, and brimming with the kind of quality one must demand from BGP Group. Three more are promised, set to rise in early 2025, like ships ready to depart on an unknown but thrilling voyage. Keep your eyes sharp and your ears keen; the news of their arrival will come like a distant storm, building steadily, until it is impossible to ignore.
